While planning my trip to New York, I was in the mindset of no shopping. I thought I would be too busy doing all of the tourist things. I didn’t think we would have time for shopping. But boy, was I wrong. Shopping is such a huge part part of the city so obviously, we spent a huge chunk of our trip shopping and I do not regret it at all… even though my wallet might. Oh well, you only live once, y’know? And in my defence, I didn’t even go that crazy. 99% of these items were things I already knew I wanted to get in New York. There were no impulse purchases!
- Louis Vuitton New York City Guide (buy here): One of the main things I knew I wanted to pick up in New York was the Louis Vuitton City Guide. It is the quintessential souvenir. It’s a beautiful book with tips and history about New York. Plus, I really wanted to buy something from Louis Vuitton and this seemed like the only thing I could afford!
- Marc Jacobs Bookmarc Notebook (buy here): I was actually going to order this notebook online but it was so much better buying it in the actual Bookmarc Store. It’s just a simple black notebook with the store’s address on it. 400 Bleecker Street, AKA, the best street ever.
- Topshop Longline Striped Shirt(buy here): I have been eyeing this shirt forever on the Topshop website so I was super pumped when I saw it in the store for half off. You will be sure to see it in an upcoming OOTD! Get excited!
- Madewell Black Longsleeve Top (buy here): I bought both of these tops at the Madewell Sample Sale. I feel like a real New Yorker going to a sample sale. It was a great experience. This one is just a really plain black shirt. It’s super comfy though!
- Madewell Red T-Shirt (buy here): This is my very first red tee. It was great for wearing for Canada Day when I got back from New York. It’s a super cute tee with slits on the side. Y’all know how I love tees with slits. It’s great.
- Citizens of Humanity Rocket Jeans (buy here): Ahhhhhh I couldn’t be more excited about these jeans! When I worked at Aritzia, I wanted these jeans so badly but we were sold out of my size everywhere in the country! But alas, when I went into the Fifth Ave Aritzia, there they were. And for 40% off too. It was fate. I love these jeans way too much.
- Nike Roshe Runs (buy here): I was very set on buying a pair of shoes in New York. Well actually, I wanted to buy two pairs (Nike AND Adidas), but my suitcase just wouldn’t allow for that. I had no idea which shoes I wanted but when I saw these Roshes, I knew they were perfect. It took a tiny bit of self-convincing to consider if they would match enough things in my closet but I’m so glad I bought them. I haven’t seen them anywhere online or here in Edmonton so I knew I would have regretted it if I didn’t buy them while I had the chance.
- Free People Sunglasses(buy here): I have been looking for a pair of round lens sunglasses for the longest time and when I saw these in the Free People store, I fell in love. Speaking of Free People, there will be a whole post about that store because it was absolutely magical. Stay tuned.
- Topshop Marble Triangle Studs: I think these are the coolest earrings ever (even though Brent doesn’t like them, WHATEVER). Plus, they were on super discount so how could I say no?
- Topshop Hoops (buy here): I’m always looking for more silver earrings so when I saw these cool half hoops, I knew they would fit perfectly into my jewelry collection.
- American Girl Keychain: Read my whole post on my American Girl experience and then you will understand how much I love this keychain. It’s perfect.
- Pandora NYC Apple Charm (buy here): I knew I needed to pick up a New York themed Pandora charm while in the city so I bought this little apple with NYC engraved on it. It’s so pretty!
- Marc Jacobs New York City Tee (buy here): I feel like this is another quintessential souvenir for me. Anything combining Marc Jacobs and New York City is perfect for me.
- Marc Jacobs Tote (buy here): Marc Jacobs actually gave me this tote for free. You can imagine how happy I was. There were tears. Just kidding. (Or am I?)
- Marc by Marc Jacobs Baker Watch in Dirty Martini (buy here): I wasn’t sure at first if I was going to buy a watch in New York. But once I was in the store, I feel like I couldn’t pass up buying this watch from the actual Marc by Marc Jacobs store. Plus, I knew I was going to buy this watch eventually so why not do it sooner rather than later. My reasoning is flawless right?
