A Brooklyn Bridge Kind of Outfit

It hasn’t hit me that I actually went to New York a couple of weeks ago. Even now, while I am editing these pictures, I don’t quite believe these backgrounds. I keep thinking I am standing in front of a green screen. But no, on a sunny Monday, I was actually there, seeing the Brooklyn Bridge with my very own eyes for the first time. The Brooklyn Bridge is so majestic and beautiful and so is the surrounding area. It is filled with cute cafes and shops on the harbour. If I was ever homeless in New York, this would be the area I would be homeless in. That’s weird, I’m not sure why I said that.

It was so hot this day and knowing me, I severely underpacked hot clothes. I didn’t really have any clothes suitable for the 30 degree Celsius weather. However, Megan was kind enough to let me borrow an outfit of hers. Thanks Megs! The cami is from Topshop and throughout the trip, Megan bought this tank top in three different colours. I am totally regretting not buying one of my own, they are great tops. I then wore these shorts from Forever 21. At first I was wearing a cute floral skirt with this outfit but as soon as we stepped outside of the apartment, the wind blew my skirt up and we decided it was necessary that I change. I’m so glad I did because later, on the ferry to Staten Island, it was incredibly windy and that would have been incredibly unfortunate.

The cardigan that I’m wearing is also Megan’s and it’s from Brandy Melville. I think I also need this cardigan. Megan just has the best clothes, I need ‘em all. The cardigan was the perfect layering piece. It cut off the wind but the open knit kept me nice and cool all day! For shoes, I am wearing my Adidas. As I’ve said countless times before, comfy shoes are always a must in New York. I am once again carrying my tote bag. Some things will never change.
