When I heard Benefit was launching a new product, I wasn’t excited as I usually am. Don’t get me wrong, I absolutely love Benefit, but there was something about this new launch that didn’t intrigue me. The Benefit Air Patrol is a BB Cream Eyelid Primer. This might sound confusing at first. I wasn’t sure whether it was just a fancy eyelid primer or more of a concealer type product. But, as soon as I got to touch the product for the first time, I immediately understood it. It is an eyelid primer but with a TON of added benefits. And I am very pleased to say, now that I have gotten the chance to play around with it, I am once again very excited about Benefit and their innovative products.

Let’s just jump right into all the cool features of the Benefit Air Patrol BB Cream Eyelid Primer (that name is a tad of a mouthful). First and foremost, this primer primes the lids (duh) and helps eye makeup last all day without creasing. Fun fact, this isn’t just an EYE primer, it would make an awesome primer anywhere else on your face as well. I think it would also be an excellent lip primer (but I’ve yet to try that out)! Secondly this primer has SPF 20. I never really think to put sunscreen on my eyelids but it makes sense! Eyes are so sensitive to environmental damage and this primer will help to protect them and keep away those fine lines and wrinkles around the eyes. The primer also contains the EnviroDefend complex that helps guard delicate eyelids against sun, smoke, and pollutants.

But, we’re not even close to being done listing all the great benefits of this BB Cream Eyelid Primer! This primer also hydrates the eye area. It’s extremely moisturizing and applies so smoothly onto the eyelid. The formula is also very calming and soothing and will relieve any puffiness or redness that you might have. Another thing that will help with any redness on the eye is the color-correcting tint. The formula is very brightening and really makes your eyes look more awake! I really loved how it looked on my eyes, especially when I applied it on my under-eye bags as well.

Another really cool feature of the Benefit Air Patrol BB Cream Eyelid Primer is the actual packaging of the product itself. The tip is a patent pending‘Cusion Calm’ tip that promises to be stress-free and pressure-free. It’s even softer than your pinkie so you don’t have to worry about damaging your delicate eye area! This product feel so nice when applying it and the tip helps smooth and evenly apply the product where you need it. The application process is very smartly designed as well. All you have to do is click the tube once and you get the exact amount needed for each eyelid! And, you don’t have to worry about wasting any product. If you dispense too much of the primer, you can always click the tube the opposite direction and the product will be sucked back down! Is that brilliant? I believe it is.

Wow, that was quite a long post for just a seemingly simple eyelid primer, but as I said, this isn’t just your stereotypical primer. Instead, it is a ten-in-one magic product that has so many benefits! I haven’t been this excited and pleased with an eyelid primer in so long. And if you’re feeling like this primer is definitely the product for you, you might want to also check out the Benefit Big Easy BB Cream. The two products are very similar with the exception of the Big Easy being for the whole face and is more of a foundation. But the two products pair absolutely wonderfully together.

I know you are probably all very anxious to get your hands on this wonderful primer, but I have some bad news for you. This product won’t be released until around September 12. So in two weeks, I better see all of you at Shoppers Drug Mart picking up this primer. I promise you will love it!
