The Slippery Slope

Before we jump (no pun intended) into this post and start talking about my outfit, I want you all to know that I almost died taking these photos. You see that big hill behind me? Yeah. It’s slippery. One wrong step and I could have fallen to my death. No but seriously, these boots have absolutely no grip on them. But, I risked it all to take aesthetically pleasing photos. It better be worth it.

This is one of my favorite tops. It’s a grey short sleeved knit top that hits past my knees with giant slits in it. When I first got this top, I thought it was so unique but since then, I’ve seen this style everywhere which I’m really excited about! Tunic style tops are always my favorite. I always wear this top a bunch in the summer, usually with my white boyfriend jeans (see OOTD here), but I’ve recently began to venture outside of my comfort zone and tried to create a winter outfit with it.

I paired the shirt with my ripped burgundy Topshop jeans and a long black duster. I probably should have worn a heavier coat seeing as there was still snow on the ground, but I just loved how well this jacket complimented the top. It has the same slits on the side as the shirt so the two layers flowed nicely together instead of making it look like I was drowning in fabric.

For shoes, I’m wearing these gorgeous boots from Old Navy (I also have the same ones in a light camel colour!). Yes, once again I’m wearing another surprising piece from Old Navy! As I mentioned in my last post, I have been so surprised by Old Navy lately! I just keep finding cuter and cuter things from there! I was at Oak and Fort the other day and the sales associate came up to me asking where my boots were from. I really enjoyed seeing her face after I told her they were from Old Navy and on clearance for $20.

My accessories stay pretty consistent today with my Michael Kors Selma purse, but I added this fun metal hair tie from H&M and my favorite Marc Jacobs sunglasses because it was insanely sunny outside. I’m also in love these earrings that I’m wearing. My boyfriend made them for me for Valentine’s Day and they might just be the perfect everyday earrings for me!
