Vegas Baby

I have returned from the land of Las Vegas and to put it simply, it was a long trip. Five days might be a tad too long to stay in the city that never sleeps. But, regardless, it was a fun trip and exactly what I needed to take my mind off of the looming stress of school. I had been to Vegas once before when I was twelve, but let me tell you, that city is a whole different world when you’re twenty-one and legal. I wish I could tell you that I was a good kid and I drank a minimum amount and just stuck to shopping, but my passed out self over the hotel toilet would tell you a completely different story. But, this post isn’t about my drunken endeavours, instead it is about my outfit unfortunately, so let’s move on with that.

It was a hard feat packing for Vegas. It was warmer than Edmonton (obviously, every city is warmer than this hell hole), but it was colder than what I thought an American state would be like. So all of my outfits consisted of just one coat because I packed light! And by light, I mean that I still brought one giant suitcase. There was no way I was fitting all that into a carry-on. This coat is just a great one, it’s from Topshop and it’s the perfect weight for a Vegas winter. Plus, the camel colour matches so many different things so I never got bored of the fact that I only brought one jacket with me.

Underneath, I wore this grey top from Boohoo. This is one of my favorite tops. It has an attached choker which makes it super trendy; all those Americans really love their chokers. For bottoms, I wore my new favorite jeans that I seriously can’t get enough of. They’re a coated denim so they almost give a leather appearance but they’re much thicker than a leather legging would be. I find myself reaching for these jeans almost everyday. I am so tempted to buy a second pair as a backup for when these ones wear out because that day will come sooner than I think.

My accessories were kept simple with my black suede boots from Old Navy that I wear in basically every outfit on this blog, sorry! And for my purse, I chose my Kate Spade cross-body that although small, it holds all my travel essentials! Before we end this post, let’s talk about where I slept. We decided to stay in the Cosmopolitan and it’s honestly such a beautiful, girly hotel. It was the perfect choice for a girls’ trip. It was decorated so chic and the view was amazing (thanks to that 52nd floor room!). So if you’re looking for a place to stay in Vegas, choose the Cosmopolitan. That makes it sound like the post is sponsored. It’s not. But Vegas, hit me up! 😉
