NeoStrata Part 2: Skincare Basics

Today I’m bring you another post all about NeoStrata skincare! If you tuned in last week, you would have seen part 1 of this series featuring the Neostrata beauty enhancers including the Lip Enhancer and the Lash Enhancer serum! But this week, we’re going back to the basics with some essential NeoStrata products that you definitely need in any skincare routine!

Acne Clear Clarifying Gel Cleanser

I have a small confession to make. When I first tried this cleanser a couple of years ago, I hated it. If it hadn’t been for the fact that I had just run out of my other cleanser and this was the only one I had on hand, I would have thrown it out. But out of desperation, I continued to use it for the week and I’m so glad I did because now it’s one of my favorite cleansers. It can feel a bit stripping at first, which I normally absolutly hate. However, it’s less of an“all oils are stripped from my face” feeling and more of a refreshing“wow, my face feels really clean and there’s no makeup residue left” kind of feeling. Plus, it has 2% salicylic acid in it so it really helps to keep those pesky lil’ breakouts at bay.

Moisture Infusion Oil Free Hydrating Lotion

First of all, I really just love the colour of this lotion. It just looks like a sea of water which is fitting since this is a hydration lotion. However, it should be called more of a hydration gel since it definitely has more of that texture. I’m definitely not complaining about that; there is nothing I love more than that lightweight gel formula. It sinks instantly into your pores and feels like your skin just drank a nice big glass of water.

Pore Minimizing Anti-Shine Hydrating Gel

I have the most combination skin ever. My cheeks are super dry, yet my nose and T-Zone can be an oily mess at times. For that reason, I really love this Pore Minimizing Anti-Shine gel. It’s hydrating yet it definitely helps to stop my skin from producing so much God damn oil. However, during the Winter months especially, the hydrating aspect of this gel isn’t always enough to moisturize my cheeks so I like to layer the Moisture Infusion Hydrating Lotion with it to make sure my skin stays at a comfortable moisture level. Or if you want to get fancy, I just apply the Pore Minimizing Gel on my T-Zone with the Moisture Infusion Lotion on my cheeks and I find my skin reacts very nicely to that combination.
