Big Yellow Taxi

I always thought I couldn’t pull off yellow because of my extremely pale skin so I avoided that colour for two decades… until now. I came across this jacket while picking out a few items from Zaful (thanks again, Zaful!) and there was something about the yellow shade that instantly drew me to it. Maybe it was because I had a pair of boots in junior high that were this exact shade. Yes… you heard me right. I had mustard yellow boots. My bestie, Ali, teased me relentlessly about it. I still have them. I should probably throw them out. You can see them in this outfit here. Try not to make fun of me too much!

I’m also OBSESSED with my t-shirt today. I saw it on Everlane’s Instagram and I knew it was the shirt for me. There was just something about the 100% Human slogan that really spoke to me. It’s kind of a daily reminder to myself that we’re all humans, we all make mistakes; life is going to be okay. The 100% Human Collection supports two things that matter to Everlane—protecting human rights and remembering that we are more the same than we are different. And for each 100% Human product sold, Everlane donates $5 towards the ACLU. I’m not American, but this is still a great cause and anything to promote any kind of equality is always a good thing in my eyes. But regardless of all the great things this t-shirt does, it’s also a super nice top! I got mine in a size large which was not my first choice but all the other sizes were sold out at the time and I am far too impatient to wait for more to come back in stock. But it turned out to be a super nice oversized fit and I’m digging it. The same top is also available in a pastel pink colour where $5 of each sale goes towardsEquality Nowwhich fights to promote equal rights for women. I totally need this one as well.

I also found my new favorite purse this month. I have been looking for a new purse for ages that will just match every single outfit and be effortless. And I found the one (italics for emphasis, duh). It’s from a site called Gamiss and it was super super SUPER (all-caps for emphasis, duh) inexpensive. We’re talking only 13 bucks here. It’s a knock-off a Chloe Clare bag (but it was actually discontinued a while back, so like.. it’s okay?). I don’t care enough to mind. One day I’ll be able to afford the real thang, but for now I’m just fine with being a poser.

ALSO! I have one more thing to add. If you are looking at the chokers around my neck and thinking“DAMN girl, those are really nice”, I actually made them and I’m thinking about selling them on ze blog in the near future! Email me if that’s something you’d be interested in! Because I’m OBSESSED with mine!
