I’ve really been into single shadows lately. Gone are the days where you would buy a $60 palette and maybe only use a couple of the shades while half of them go untouched. Personally for me, I only use the 3 lightest shades of every palette while the others gather dust. So, to solve that troublesome problem, I’ve been really enjoying the whole concept of buying individual shadow pans and then customizing your own palette with them!

And a company that has some of the best single shadows (and an extensive selection of shades) is ittsē. They are an adorable San Francisco based brand that I’ve fallen in love with over the past couple of weeks so I’m super excited to share some of my favorite shadows with y’all today! But, before we jump into the shades, we have to talk about the palette that will be housing all of the pans! ittsē makes the cutest magnetic, customizable palettes. They come in a variety of vegan-leather wrapped shades like a bright coral or turquoise and more neutral shades like the grey that I picked! Each palette can fit up to 12 shadows or in my case, 9 eyeshadows and 2 powder pans.

So, let’s get right into the shades! I had so much fun deciding the configuration of my shadows in the palette. I decided to arrange my shadows in a way that they could be used in trios for a bunch of different eye looks. So whether you use the three shadows in the row, in the column, or diagonally, they all create a perfect look! For example you can use the left column for a super light, neutral everyday look or you can use the top row for a more shimmery, but still neutral, smoky eye!

I placed the three lightest, neutral shades on the left. In the top left corner is Alabaster, a high-pearl, golden ecru that is the perfect shade to highlight the inner corners or my eyes and the browbone. Below that is Room for Crème, a matte ecru that is the PERFECT all over lid colour and transition shade. Ever since I got this shadow, I’ve used it every single day. It’s just one of those staple colours that you need in every single eye look. And then, in the bottom left corner is Cashmere that also falls into my list of favorites. This is a light, cool-toned taupe that is always a great shade in the crease!

Now we move onto the middle column which is wear I placed my dark, sparkly colours that are more suitable for a darker, going out look! At the top is Treasure Island which is the most gorgeous high-pearl golden bronze. For those days when I want more of a shimmery eye look, this is definitely a shadow I love to reach for. Below that is a burgundy shadow called Para. I was so excited to receive this one. I have been looking for the perfect burgundy shade for Fall and this one is going to be perfect. At the bottom is Otis, a deeper shimmery purple that will look absolutely gorgeous paired with Para.

And then, for the right-most column, I have my three dark neutral shades that are great for lining my eyes or placing in my outer crease. In the top right corner is Irish Coffee, a deep brown with gold glitter flecks. Below that is Montmartre which is a matte charcoal and surprisingly one that I have been wearing a ton! It’s great for darkening up any neutral eye look. Lastly is Caviar, a jet black with a hint of sparkle that is a staple shadow for lining my eyes!

In addition to eyeshadows, ittsē also has a variety of other makeup items like these blushes and highlighters that I also got to try! I got a blush in the shade Aphrodite that is the PERFECT summer colour. It’s a coral terracotta with subtle gold shimmer. If that doesn’t scream summer, I don’t know what does. It’s such a pretty pigmented colour that’s going to look great once I get a tan. And speaking of summer, this highlighter in St.Tropez is also the perfect item for the warmer weather. When I first got a glimpse of it, I thought it would be too dark for me (pale girl problems), but it actually blends out to be quite sheer! But it does have quite a heavy glitter look to it, so if you love that in a highlight, this is the one for you!
