The Pale Life Is The One For Me

I didn’t realize how pale I was until I uploaded these photos and cringed when I saw my ankles. Like I’m literally whiter than the pants I’m wearing. That’s a problem. A big problem. So as soon as I was done editing these photos (no amount of editing could make me look more tan), I applied a bucket load of self tanner and now I don’t look as ghostly pale. Now I just look only slightly lighter than the average joe. It’s a hard life being a ghost. I wouldn’t recommend it.

I recently re-joined Tinder (embracing that single lyfe, y’know?) (but also did I just admit to the world that I’m on Tinder? That’s embarrassing) and I made my bio“I’m not as pretentious as I look” because if this outfit says anything, it says I’m super pretentious and probably try way too hard. But I just love the monochrome vibes of this outfit, so I’ll probably keep on wearing it, no matter how many times my mom asks my why I’m so dressed up when I’m just going to the grocery store. When will she learn that this is just who I am? (Insert lyrics to Mulan’s Reflection. Very applicable). I’ve gotten quite funny lately. My blog posts are getting humorous, wouldn’t you agree? (Please agree.)

Anyways, I’m wearing these Babaton Cohen Pants that I picked up from Aritzia that you would have last seen in this blog post here, when I was way more tan. These pants have quickly become my summer staple. I love how tailored and chic they are but they are just so darn easy to layer with other items and tie the whole look together. I used to think nude/pale pink pants would be a hard thing to pull of and they wouldn’t match much, but I’ve been able to create so many great looks with these bad boys.

Today, I paired them with a simple white tank tucked in and my favorite nude vest layered overtop. This vest is such a great piece to bring an outfit together. It’s drapey style makes me look put together while not adding too much fuss and weight to the outfit. I picked this one up almost two years ago at Boohoo and I always get so excited when Summer arrives and I can start wearing it again. I’ve been dying to get it in more colours, especially a pale pink or a dusty rose (#millenialpink) because how cute would that be?!

To finish off the outfit, I’m carrying my pink purse with a scarf (or as you fancy schmancy people like to call it, a twilly) wrapped around the handle to bring just a touch of pattern and colour into the outfit. And you guessed it, I’m wearing my favorite mules from Forever 21. Normally I don’t like to wear the same shoes in every single blog post so I can make my outfits at least just a little interesting for you guys. But I just can’t stop wearing these shoes. Can’t stop, won’t stop. There’s no other shoe that matches all my outfits as good as these ones. They’re just perfect in every single way. My heart beats a little faster when I look at them. I’m falling in love y’all.
