I have a feeling that this is one of the last outfits I’ll be able to post where I’m not bundled up in a million layers and hiding beneath the largest blanket scarf I can find. But, I wanted an opportunity to wear some of the more Spring-y pieces in my closet before they had to be stashed away for the long bitter winter. So, I ventured out on this verywindy day and let’s just say my hair still hasn’t forgiven me for that.
I got to work with Simons on this post which would have made 14 year old me very happy. Don’t get me wrong, 22 year old me is very happy too, but back in the day 14 year old Taylor stumbled into Simons during her trip to Quebec before the chain had moved its way across Canada and fell in love with the store. And after all these years, they now have two Simons in Edmonton andI’ve gotten the chance to work with them multiple times. Happy Taylor.
So I’m wearing this top from Simons that I absolutely love. It’s a white crochet lace top. But it doesn’t stop there. It has a mock neck with wide bell sleeves and it’s made out of the softestknit material you will ever feel. It’s like having Oakley’s (my dog) fur all over me. I paired a simple tank under it but if you’re feeling adventurous (or frisky), pair a cute bralette underneath. You do you, boo. It also comes in a beautiful navy and blush pink. Wait, what? You didn’t buy the blush pink shade, Taylor? Who even are you? I know, I know. I just have too many pink articles of clothing. So I’m branching out a lil’. I’m trying guys.
But, like classic Taylor (why am I still talking about myself in third person?), I did wear a piece of clothing in dusty rose. Y’all can all breathe again. These culottes are so freakin’ cute and were the first item I thought of to pair with the Simon’s crochet top. The top just tucks into them so nicely. Overtop, I’m wearing my favorite trench coat that definitely didn’t keep me warm on this windy day. But alas, it will be the first thing I pull back out of my closet when the weather gets warm again. Just you wait.
