Summer has finally hit and I couldn’t be happier. I just love waking up and seeing the sun shining through my window and not feeling the need to bundle up in a thousand layers right when I crawl out of bed. It gives me a full burst of energy and I’m loving it. (Ba Da Ba Ba Bah I’m Lovin’ It! ♫) My days are brighter and I feel a lightness in my outlook on life. Clearly, the weather affects my emotions drastically.
I think as I’ve gotten older, my style has gotten a lot more obnoxious. I mean, who would pair a mustard yellow leather jacket with metallic silver loafer mules? Why, only me of course. But honestly, I think that sums up the epitome of my style. I like bold, funky things with really simple basics. I wear this leather jacket constantly in the summer. It’s the perfect outer layer to add something unique and colourful to my outfits!
Underneath the jacket i’m wear a simple nude tank from Aritzia and these boyfriend jeans from Citizens of Humanity. Speaking of Citizens of Humanity, I have once again began the search for more pairs of jeans because a girl can never have too many jeans. Next on the hunt is a pair of light to medium wash Rockets and some distressed mid washed Rocket Crops!
For shoes, I’m wearing these bright metallic loafers from Dolce Vita that I picked up on super clearance from Town Shoes. I used to hate this whole style of loafer mules but they’ve really grown on me lately. They’re just so comfy and easy to slip on when running errands or they can dress up an outfit easily too! I always thought that a silver shoe would be a hard colour to pair with things but they’re surprisingly versatile and match many outfits! I’m a big, big fan.
And last but not least, let’s just look at this gorgeous necklace I’m wearing for a second. As I mentioned in a previous outfit post, I was recently invited to the Hillberg and Berk flagship store opening in Southgate and I got to pick out a few pieces! One of those was this Nora Necklace in silver. I’ve been searching for the perfect everyday silver necklace for quite a while now and I’ve definitely found everything I’ve been looking for in this one. It’s stunning.
