Good Things Come To Those Who Shake!
Why have I never tried Joico hair products before? That is a mystery to both you and me, my friend. I have heard so many good things about Joico over the years so I was pumped to give them a try. But I was even more pumped to try their volumizing line of hair products because if there’s anything else that needs to be pumped, it’s my hair (that was so punny).
I have the world’s finest hair. I wasn’t sure about my specific hair type until a couple of years ago. I was always confused because my hair was flat and I thought that meant my hair was thin. But in actuality, I have a TON of hair (as hairdressers told me my entire life), but it is just super duper fine. I always envied girls with course hair because it held so much more volume than what my hair lacked. However, now that I’ve come to the realization that my hair is fine in texture, it’s really helped me when shopping for the perfect hair care products. I just have to make sure to get products that include the words “fullness and volume” on them (DUH).
And two products that contain those words in the description are the Joico Body Luxe shampoo and conditioner for fullnessand volume! These are hydrating products which is also super important to be when looking at volumizing products. Often, volumizing products contain ingredients that tend to really dry out my hair so I often have to alternate between using volumizing products one week and strictly moisturizing shampoo/conditioner the next week. These ones contain oat amino acids to provide an excellent source of lightweight moisture that adequately hydrates my hair while still adding that essential fullness to my strands!
Joico recently launched a new product this summer called the Body Shake (in addition to their Beach Shake for those ever-popular tousled beachy waves). The Body Shake is everything I’ve ever wanted in a texturizing spray. Texturizers have become my best friend lately. They are the perfect product to spray onto finished, styled hair to add that extra bit of volume and texture. This Body Shake has natural starch to provide plush thickness and volume to plump the strands and leave a smooth, velvety finish! I love using this product on every hairstyle whether that be my natural hair, straightened or curled! I even love spraying it on the ends of my ponytail for that extra bit of volume and texture! It’s the perfect finishing product!
