Clean & Clear Acne Triple Clear Clay Mask

My skin has been atrocious lately. Absolutely atrocious. I don’t know what happened but ever since being in the humid heat of Mexico, taking a six hour plane flight and landing back in dry, zero-moisture Edmonton, my skin hasn’t been the same. It has been breaking out like crazy. I feel like I’m a pre-teen again experiencing puberty for the first time. It’s great. Absolutely freakin’ great.

Whenever I’m experiencing an especially bad week (or month) of breakouts, I stop my preventative anti-aging skincare routine and I go to my cupboard of products and search for an acne product to take my troubles away (AKA erase those angry pimples). This time, it was the Clean and Clear Acne Triple Clear Clay Mask I reached for. I love using masks when I’m breaking out for a couple of reasons. First, they’re not as harsh as just putting a bucketload of salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide on my breakouts. Second, they seem to deep clean my face so much better than anything else. Whenever I’m breaking out, my skin just feels so yucky and clogged and I honestly just want to rip it off my face. Face masks help to alleviate that feeling.

And in particular, this Clean and Clear clay mask is especially good at helping my skin feel cleaner and soothed. Not only does it contain natural clay to absorb excess oil, but it also has a blend of aloe and mint. The aloe is amazing at soothing and calming those angry and red pimples. The mint makes my the mask smell amazingand also gives such a refreshing, invigorating feeling on the skin! And of course, the salicylic acid in this mask is what actually helps to treat the pimples! And if you’re not the biggest mask fan, you can also use this as a deep-clean cleanser by massaging it on a wet face and rinsing thoroughly right away!
