  • Teeez Cosmetics

It’s been a while since I’ve tried out makeup from a new (to me) brand! I had never heard of Teeez Cosmetics before, but once I heard that this European beauty brand was carried at Hudson’s Bay stores and online, I knew I had to try it ASAP! Throughout the next three months, I’ll be featuring some of their makeup collections on ze blog (which I’m super pumped about), so y’all better stay tuned for that! Today’s box of goodies included the Spectrum of Stars Eyeshadow, a Mysterious Crystal Eyeliner and the Style Addict Highlighter. Now I have to say one thing before we jump into this review. I didn’t get to pick the shades that were sent to me, so the shades aren’t exactly my cup of tea, nor suited for my skin tone. However, I’ll be going through the products disregarding that and focusing more on the formula and the products themselves (because spoiler alert: I love them)!

    Spectrum of Stars Eyeshadow

Okay, first, let’s just talk about the packaging. All three products came in absolutely beautiful packaging; I just love how colourful and fun everything is! But, I definitely loved this Spectrum of Stars Eyeshadow casing the most. It comes in a gorgeous gold mirrored ball that’s going to look so pretty sitting on top of your vanity. My eyeshadow is in the shade Gunmetal Glow, a deep dark taupe with an emerald sparkle in it. It’s truly a gorgeous shade. A bit darker than I would usually reach for, but gorgeous nonetheless. Now, this is one buttery eyeshadow. I absolutely love eyeshadows that are the opposite of chalky and this one definitely is because it’s enriched with Argan Oil. It just melts onto your eyelids and blends out flawlessly. This is what I wish all shadows could be like. I’m desperate to get my hands on a few more (lighter) shades.

    Mysterious Crystal Eyeliner

I’m usually not the biggest fan of pencil eyeliners, but I think it would be impossible not to be a fan of this Mysterious Crystal Eyeliner in Smokey Quartz. It’s the most gorgeous deep grey with a metallic finish. It’s so creamy and draws on smoothly without skipping or being patchy. As an added bonus, the other end of the pencil comes with a smudger and a sharpener so you can have the perfect eyeliner each and every time. And, when you apply the eyeliner and let it set after you smudge it out, it’s completely waterproof and smudge proof. It has incredible staying power!

    Style Addict Highlighter

So, as I mentioned above, some of the shades aren’t exactly suited for my pasty pale skin tone (I’m actually a ghost) and this product is one of them. I got the highlighter in the shade Smooth Copper, which although it’s an absolutely gorgeous shimmery warm brown, it definitely doesn’t work as a brightening highlighter for me. But I absolutely loved the creamy formula, I knew I had to find a way to make it work for my skintone. I’ve been absolutely loving the whole dewy, glowy look that’s been so popular lately. So I applied this cream (and you only need the tiniestamount. A little goes a longway. Trust me) more on the hollows of my cheeks where I would usually apply bronzer or a contour shade. And it looked pretty damn cool. It gave me the exact glow that I had been craving all winter.

*ftc disclaimer: Products were sent free of charge for review consideration. All opinions are my own. Thank you for supporting the brands that make When I’m Older possible!
