How can Edmonton and Calgary be so close in distance, yet so far away in terms of restaurant quality? I mean, I love Edmonton, I really do, but Calgary restaurants are just far superior. And so, when I went to Calgary a couple weekends ago, you know I just had to try out a bunch of new restaurants in addition to some of my old favorites while I was there. It always surprises me how much food I’m able to fit into a two day trip. I’m a pretty impressive eater if I do say so myself!
Queens Breakfast Cocktails | 3927 Edmonton Trail
A-OK Cafe | 6455 Macleod Trail SW
Yuzu Lemonade $4.75
Bridgette Bar | 739 10 Ave SW
The Wednesday Room | 100-118 8 Ave SW
Black Sheep | 140-815 17 Ave SW
Dark Hot Chocolate w/ chocolate whipped cream, chocolate sauce and crunchy pearls $11
Ari Sushi | 1201 9 Ave SE
I will never get tired of my roadtrips to Calgary that consist of nothing else but trying new restaurants and going shopping (even though the Nordstrom is closing down in Chinook Mall and Abercrombie has already closed down). You can rest assured knowing that there will definitely be a fourth round of What I Ate in Calgary in the very near future.
