I have been meaning to write a post on EOS lip balms for a while now. So here I am, finally doing it. I should give you a bit history first though. 3 and a half years ago, EOS lip balms didn’t even exist in Canada. They were extremely popular in the US but alas none could be found in Canada… Until we discovered a little clothing store called RW&Co sold them. We were desperate find them, but they sold out almost immediately every time new stock came in. I remember me and my friends phoning every day, asking if they had gotten any in. Finally, they did, and my first EOS lip balm was born. It was the Honeydew Honeysuckle one. Soon after, Walmart and Shopper’s drug mart started carrying them so my collection grew and grew.
There was just one problem. I hate EOS lip balms. I know what you’re thinking… “Taylor, you have 8 lip balms that you supposedly hate?!” Yes, yes I do. But here’s the thing. The only thing I hate about them is the actual balm. I find then extremely unmoisturizing and a hard consistency, I like lip balms that just melt onto my lips. These do absolutely nothing for my dry, cracked lips. Now back to the important question, why do I have eight of them? I find the packaging and appearance completely adorable. Yes, I am judging the book by its cover. Plus, the scents are so yummy. Summer fruit, vanilla bean, sweet mint… How could I pass those up? And I do occasionally use these. As you can see by the photos, they don’t just sit in my room untouched. However, I only reach for these when I just need a quick swipe of something under my lipstick, not looking for extreme comfort and hydration.
That being said, if you don’t have particularly dry lips, these would probably work find for you. But, let’s be honest, who doesn’t choose their lip balms based on adorability factor? And since these are the cutest lip balms around, go pick up a few.
