SUNDAY RILEY

C.E.O. Rapid Flash Brightening Serum

If you’ve been following along on my skin journey, you know that I have been desperately trying everythingto help fade the marks on my skin left over from my horrendous battle with acne during my teenage years. But it’s been an incredibly slow process. Don’t get me wrong, they have been fading (thanks to previous products like Clarins Mission Perfection Serum and Neostrata Skin Renewal Peel Solution) but it’s taking way longer than I would like. I’m just not a patient person y’know?

I have heard amazing things about Sunday Riley and I’ve been desperate to get my hands on some of their products, but they’re surprisingly hard to find here in Edmonton (except for the Sephora down in South Edmonton Common, you’re welcome Edmonton peeps). After one of my favorite Youtubers, Samantha Ravndahl, did a video saying how Sunday Riley played a huge part in clearing up her skin, I knew I had to try the products for myself as well.

This is the Sunday Riley C.E.O. Rapid Flash Brightening Serum and I’ve been using it for well over a month now and wow oh wow, am I impressed. I was a little scared at first to try this serum as it has 15% THD ascorbate (AKA Vitamin C) which usually does not mix well with my extremely sensitive skin. But, what gave me comfort is that this form of Vitamin C is highly stable and Phytosterols Complex in the serum also help to reduce the look and feel of sensitivity! And sure enough, after using it I found the serum doesn’t seem to bother my skin at all! The texture of this serum is really nice and exactly what I like to feel on my skin. It’s a lightweight white fluid that absorbs quickly into my skin without feeling heavy or sticky. If there’s one thing I hate, it’s sticky serums. Plus this serum smells like oranges so already I’m a huge fan.

So did I notice a difference in my dark spots and acne red marks? Yes, yes, yes, yes! My skin has brightened so much over this past month. The marks are still there, but this is the first serum that I’ve ever noticed such a drastic improvement! And this serum doesn’t just help with dark spots! Vitamin C is also amazing for clarifying and antioxidant properties by helping with the first signs of aging (caused by stress, environment and lifestyle).

But this serum doesn’t just contain Vitamin C. It also has Saccharide Isomerate Extract that helps to reduce the appearance of pores while reinforcing the skin’s natural barrier to smooth out and refine the texture of the skin. Before I started using this serum, I had all the little bumps all over my skin because my pores were blocked, but this serum has been absolutely amazing at helping to get rid of those and really clear up my skin! And lastly, this serum also contains Glycolic Acid which is always my favorite ingredient in any skincare product. Glycolic Acid provides mild refinement to the skin (also what helped with all those bumps on my skin texture) and controls the ph of the serum to ensure maximum effectiveness!

I have been using this serum every single night (you can use it morning as well) and I am dreadingthe day when I run out of it. That’s how much I love it. And if you end up loving it as much as I do, try out the whole Sunday Riley C.E.O. line including theC.E.O. C + E antiOXIDANT Protect + Repair Moisturizer and theC.E.O. C + E Micro-Dissolve Cleansing Oil!
