Still Not Trendy

I’m on my Reading Week, which for all you non-Canadians (non-Albertans?), that’s the equivalent of Spring Break! This has been one of my first (and only) Reading Weeks where I had ALL of my midterms before the break instead of after, so I don’t have to spend this whole week studying and it’s quite the possibly the best thing. I really needed this break. This semester has been a hard one for me and not just because of academics. Life has been weird and I just needed an overall break from it. Sometimes you just need to lie in bed for a couple of days without having to worry about any responsibilities. Wow, I suck at this whole“adulting” thing, hey? Just kidding, I’m going to school (and hopefully getting a 4.0 again) while working a part time job, running a blog and writing for my school’s website. I’m doing okay. I need to have a little more faith in myself. Deep breaths Taylor.

Let’s change the subject to what we all came here for. My outfit. All winter I had been looking for more sweaters to add to my closet. I am always cold so sweaters seemed like the perfect solution to that predicament. I just wanted comfy warm things that I could snuggle in because for some strange reasons (or because they’re trying to cut costs), university lecture rooms are so cold. I’m surprised I haven’t died or gotten frost bite. Bit dramatic? Nah. But anyways, I came across this navy knit sweater from Vero Moda and the huge oversized fit captured my heart. Is it a dress? Is it a shirt? Is it a blanket with a hole cut in it for my neck? We will never know.

Because it’s so large and oversized, I’m wearing a lacey bralette from Forever 21 underneath. If I’m not paying attention, this sweater literally falls off my body so in order to avoid flashing innocent folks, this bralette covers the bases. No, wrong terminology. For jeans, I’m wearing the only pants I ever wear- the coated denim from Vero Moda. I’ve literally worn these in the past five outfits (maybe more?), so if I haven’t convinced you to buy them yet, then you’re crazy. You need them.

Because my outfit was 10/10 boring, I triedto spice it up with some accessories. My bright colourblocked satchel is from Stella Rittwagen and I totally forgot I owned this one. I should really start to wear it more. For jewelry, I’m wearing these AWESOME earrings from Zara. Okay so you know that whole asymmetrical earring look that is so popular right now? I never thought I could pull it off, but I found this set of like twelve different star-themed earrings from Zara that were all different and I thought they’d be super cool to mix and match. So that’s exactly what I did! I’m wearing a dangly ear clip on one ear with just a simple star stud on the other. Am I trendy yet?!?!? Still no? Oh, okay.
