I am so pumped to be writing a review today on the Dr.G R.E.D Blemish Clear Soothing Cream as well as the Blemish Clear Moisture Cream. But first, a bit of context behind my excitement. Several months ago, my skin was not doing well at all. I’ve never had perfect skin, which explains my love for all things skincare in a desperate attempt to find something that actually works for me.

At that time, my skin was at one of its worst stages in a long, long time. Then, I received these Dr.G R.E.D Blemish Clear creams in the mail and I couldn’t wait to try them. Normally, when I get a skincare product I’m not familiar with, I am more timid about testing it. But at this point, I had nothing to lose. So I started using them immediately. And spoiler alert: it was a great choice.

Before I tell you the effect these creams had on my skin, let’s get into the formulation first. The Dr.G R.E.D Blemish Clear Moisture Cream ($39USD) is more suitable for dry skin and slightly more hydrating than it’s Soothing counterpart. Formulated with a 5-Cica Complex, it helps to soothe and calm any irritated skin while also providing a great deal of hydration. It absorbs quickly into the skin thanks to it’s lightweight gel texture that penetrates pores easily. And after two weeks of use, this cream reduces irritation, including flakiness, itchiness, and tightness. Normally, I’d expect such a moisturizing, soothing cream to feel thick and heavy, but I found it pleasantly lightweight.

The Dr.G R.E.D Blemish Clear Soothing Cream ($34.95USD) is equally as lightweight as the Moisture Cream. It provides 100 hours of long-lasting hydration while also focusing on reducing any redness. It’s safe for acne prone skin and contains a 10-Cica complex which really aids in helping to soothe the skin. The two creams are actually quite similar but I’d say the main difference is that this one concentrates on reducing any excess oil in the skin while the Moisture Cream focuses on adding moisture (duh) back into the skin.

So what was the actual result of switching to these creams? Within literal days my skin cleared up significantly. I still break out during my time of the month but other than hormonal breakouts, my acne is so much less noticeable. And my skin just feels better. It’s not tight or overly oily. It just feels comfortable. My skin still ain’t perfect, but that’s honestly good enough for me. After all, it’s a marathon, not a sprint towards good skin.
