It’s funny. As I’m writing this blog post, I’m wearing the exact same outfit. That’s how you know this look is a good one. These photos were shot a month ago yet I’ve worn this outfit countless times since then. There’s a couple of reasons why I’ve worn it multiple times (there’s surprisingly few outfits I wear more than once a month). First, it’s insanely comfortable. Second, it looks put together. And third, it’s one of the only skirts I own. Those are some good reasons, right?
I got this skirt last summer when I went to San Francisco with my bestie, Vanessa. It was such a good find at Target and really reminded why I’m sad that we don’t have Target in Canada (anymore). I believe it was only twenty bucks! It’s made of a super thin, lightweight cotton that doesn’t seem to wrinkle so it’s the perfect breezy summer skirt. Plus, I love the midi length because I don’t have to worry about the wind blowing it up when I’m walking my dog. That is one of the first things I worry about when shopping for skirts or dresses. It’s a real fear, y’all.
In this outfit, I paired the skirt with a plain black tee from Kotn. I’ve talked about Kotn way too much on ze blog over the years so I’ll save my breath with this one and keep it short. I love Kotn t-shirts. They make the best plain white (and black) tees and they’re made from a super soft, super high quality egyptian cotton. They’re also Canadian BUT they just closed their Vancouver store location and it broke my heart. COVID-19 is just wreaking havoc on so many businesses. But alas, I’m grateful they still have their online store that I can shop from!
And is it any surprise that I’m wearing my white denim jacket? I try so hard not to wear this jacket with every single outfit to attempt some variety but it seems to be the only jacket that matches everything. It’s just foolproof. Maybe this is a sign I need to get a blue denim jacket. Or I will just get ten more white denim jackets instead. That seems like a much better idea.
