Okay, wow, Fall has officially hit. Every year I do at least one super autumnal post on ze blog and this is it for 2020. If you’re curious about what I wore in previous years, check out these posts: 2019, 2018, 2017, 2016, 2015, 2014 and 2013. Wow, that really was a walk down memory lane. Kudos to anyone who actually took the time to read each of those seven posts. My style was definitely questionable back in the day, that’s for sure. But I need to know- what was my best dressed year? I’m voting 2014. That’s probably when I peaked. It’s all been downhill from there.
So, I just got this cardigan from the cutest boutique called Awesome Jade. If there’s one thing that I’ve been lacking ever since I started working from home seven months ago, it’s a big, oversized cardigan. Because it’s socially unacceptable to wear a blanket around me during Zoom meetings, I needed to find another solution. I get so freakin’ cold when I’m just sitting at a desk all day. At my actual office (which I miss dearly), I had a mustard yellow blanket and a small space heater always nearby in case I got too cold. But, this cardigan is really replacing the need for either. It features a cozy cable knit design, wide sleeves and oversized pockets. Plus the length is absolutely perfect at keeping the majority of my body warm from my calves to my neck. What more could you want really?
And when you pair a cardigan like this with an oversized wool blanket scarf, you really do have a match made in heaven. It is physically impossible to be cold in this outfit (until snow starts appearing). This scarf is one of the iconic Wilfred blanket scarves from Aritzia. I have two others but I had been searching for a third for quite some time. They are constantly coming out with new patterns and colours but I kept holding out for one that I couldn’t resist and that’s this one. It’s features the Diamond Mosaic print in a Dry Basil Green (AKA sage green) and Tannin (AKA tan) colourway. It’s bound to match the multitude of sage green items in my closet right now.
Also rumour on the street right now is that it’s supposed to snow in two days. Can I handle that? Probably not. So, say goodbye to my cute fall outfits and say hello to parkas and Uggs. I ain’t happy about it but we gotta do what we gotta do. Let’s just hope that my next outfit post won’t feature snow on the ground. Keep those fingers crossed.
