This is probably the most autumnal outfit I have ever put on my body. I am the walking epitome of fall and I’m not mad about it in the slightest. Mustard yellow. A plaid print. Turtleneck. That’s really all I need in my fall outfits. Give me a combination of those three things and I’m good for the whole fall (AKA 3 weeks because it’s about to be winter). But for now, it’s fall, y’all. So let’s enjoy it while it’s still here.

So, as I mentioned in my last outfit post (here), I may have went on a little shopping spree at Aritzia and I may have bought way too many things. But the money has left my account, I’ve forgotten about it already. It’s fine. Everything is fine. Except my mom handed me a book the other day called The Latte Factor: Why You Don’t Have To Be Rich To Live Rich and it’s all about saving your money because apparently she thinks I have a big spending problem. Psh. I’m doing just fine with my money folks. Let me just make that clear right now. But yes, my shopping spree at Aritzia was a little ridiculous and it won’t happen again. OKAY? Okay.

Let’s just move on with my outfit. This coat. It’s mustard yellow. Need I say more? I have been looking for a mustard yellow fall coat for ages now. But when I saw this one in Aritzia I knew it was absolutely perfect. It’s a wool/cashmere blend with a shawl collar and double breasted buttons. It’s just perfection in every single way. Every. Single. Way.

And these pants. Oh man, oh man. So ever since I joined the working world after uni and started needing business-y clothes, I’ve struggled with finding the perfect dress pants. It’s a hard mission, I will tell you that. Either they’re too long or too short, too loose or too tight, too ugly or way too ugly. I usually go for a shorter length that hit mid calf or just above my ankle. Those are fine and dandy in the summer but as soon as the cold weather hits, my ankles freeze to death. It’s just not ideal. But it’s an even harder mission to find cute pants that are full length. But then, I came across the Francesca pant at Aritzia and they changed my life. They are a high-waisted, wide-leg trouser that are the PERFECT length for my legs. I didn’t even need to get them hemmed. They were made for me. And, when you find a pair of pants this perfect, you don’t just buy one pair, you buy all of them. So I bought them in a solid black as well and you best believe that if Aritzia comes out with these in other colours, I will be buying those too.
