Make It Yourself Monday: Ghost Brownies

image

First, let me start off by wishing you all a very happy halloween! Today, I’ll be showing you how to make some really really really cute ghost brownies. Don’t you just want to hug these brownies and be best friends with them? No, that’s weird, never mind. P.s these taste even better than they look.

Ingredients:

  • 1 box Betty Crocker™ Original Supreme Premium brownie mix
  • 16 Large Marshmallows
  • 1 and ¼ Cups Vanilla Frosting
  • Piping Gel or Melted Chocolate

Directions:

  • Heat oven to 350°F.
  • Make brownies as directed on box for 8- or 9-inch square pan. (AKA- mix water, mix and egg together)

  • Line 8- or 9-inch square pan with foil so foil extends about 2 inches over sides of pan. Spray foil with cooking spray.

  • Scoop the batter into the foil-lined pan

  • Throw the pan into the oven for 15-20 minutes. Check if they’re done by inserting a toothpick into the centre and see if it comes out dry.
  • Cool completely, about 1 ½ hours. Remove brownies from pan by lifting foil.
  • For 16 brownies, cut into 4 rows by 4 rows.

  • Heat frosting in microwavable bowl uncovered on High 30 seconds, stirring every 10 seconds, until frosting can be stirred smooth and fluid. If frosting becomes too firm while decorating, microwave again for a couple of seconds.
  • Top each brownie with 1 large marshmallow. Spoon 1 tablespoon frosting over each marshmallow to coat. Let stand until frosting is set, about 30 minutes.
  • Use black gel or melted dark chocolate to make eyes and mouths. We used a toothpick to dab on the chocolate.

And there you have it! The front one is named Caspar the ghost and the one to the right of it is named Hilary Duff. I hope you all have a wonderful Halloween tonight and stay safe!
