Just Another Travel Outfit

I’ve said it before and I will say it again. Whenever I go on a trip, regardless of where it is, I really just stick to my travel necessities. And therefore, whenever I shoot an outfit of the day on vacation, I’m usually wearing close to the same thing every single time. Just slight variations between them. Whoops. But hey, at least the backgrounds of the outfits are being changed up! That’s fun, right?

This travel outfit was shot in Vancouver. I had been missing Van a great deal ever since I was there back in February visiting my bestie, Ali. So I went on a little weekend trip for some big-time R&R. What does R&R even stand for? Oh right, rest and recuperation. Totally thought it was rest and relaxation. But I definitely needed all of those things either way. I’m not really sure if I got as much rest as I needed seeing as I was so busy doing all the touristy things all weekend. Between seeing the Capilano Suspension Bridge all lit up for Christmas and going to the aquarium and stuffing my face with food every chance I got, sleep was definitely my last priority. But it was a fun trip nonetheless!

So, now on to discussing my travel outfit. As I’ve stated before in previous travel #OOTD posts, a blanket scarf is always a necessity. You can use them as a blanket on the plane, scrunch it up to make a makeshift pillow, and wrap it around yourself when you get cold outside. I honestly wouldn’t be able to survive without one. So regardless where I am travelling to, I always make sure that is at the top of my packing list.

My other travel essentials include my mini backpack. This Jeanne Lottie backpack has seen the world with me. An by world, I mean Vancouver, Victoria, Mexico, Vegas and all over the Rocky Mountains. Quite the list, hey? Yeah, I need to travel more. But back to the backpack. This backpack is the best thing to travel with. It fits my camera, ipad, umbrella, a bottle of water and my selfie stick perfectly. Hmm, one of those things should not be in my backpack (yes, I’m talking about the selfie stick). And even when there are so many things stuffed in that little backpack, it never gets too heavy and the straps never dig into my shoulders. It’s quite the miraculous backpack, this one.

For the rest of my outfit, I always insist on bringing only one coat with me. I couldn’t fit a second coat in my carry-on suitcase even if I wanted to anyways. And then I just bring three or four tops that match said coat and said blanket scarf and there! All done packing. Easy peasy. Lemon squeezy. I have not become a pro packer. Please hit me up for all your packing needs. Except don’t ask me to pack your toiletries or makeup. That stuff stresses me out.
