I can’t believe I’ve never done a post on the best lip balms before. Well, there is one post I wrote all the way back in 2013 all about my lip balm hits and misses, but things (and my favourite lip balms) have changed drastically since then. But the one thing that hasn’t changed? I still use lip balm constantly. I have permanently dry lips, so you won’t ever catch me leaving the house without a lip balm. I even have a lip balm keychain on my work keys so it’s with me at all times. I ain’t taking any chances here. So, in today’s post, I am clearly the expert here to talk all about the best lip balms of 2026 (so far). Keep reading to see which ones made the cut!
EADEM Le Chouchou Lip Softening Balm

I have been wanting to try this EADEM Le Chouchou Lip Softening Balm ($33CAD/$24USD) for quite some time now, but I had to wait until I was in America to pick it up because, for some reason, Sephora in Canada doesn’t sell it? What the heck! I picked it up in the shade Guava Fresca, which is the prettiest petal pink. It’s such a creamy and glossy neutral pink that looks amazing on the lips. But it’s not just the colour that sets apart this lip balm. The formula is a non-sticky jelly that nourishes the lips while its AHA and enzymes gently exfoliate any dead skin. And I just love the metal tip applicator. It’s super cooling and great for soothing the lips as you apply the balm.
Topicals Slick Salve Lip Balm

This is another lip balm that I have had my eye on for quite some time, and then my friend got it for me for Christmas! The Topicals Slick Salve Lip Balm ($21.50CAD/$16USD) is the glossiest lip balm out of the ones featured here. So, if you’re looking for a lip gloss-lip balm hybrid, this is definitely the one you should go for. It contains Hyaluronic Acid to deliver moisture and hydration, while ceramides work to reinforce the skin’s barrier. Rice Bran Wax and Glycerin also help to seal in hydration, soften, and condition. And the minty scent is also super soothing and refreshing. All in all, a great lippie!
Vaseline Lip Therapy Lip Balm

I will never not be a Vaseline gal. I love Vaseline (much to my fiancé’s dismay- he hates the smell and texture of it). And so, when I saw that the Vaseline Lip Therapy ($4.99CAD/$3.99USD) launched in a new Vanilla Swirl flavour (scent?), I had to try it immediately. This one contains Vitamin E (I don’t believe the original does) which helps to moisturize the lips while protecting their skin barrier and fighting any environmental damage. And the vanilla scent is divine. The only thing that could make the Vaseline Lip Therapy any better is if it were in better packaging and I didn’t have to dig my lil’ finger into the pot. And yes, I know they make squeeze tubes of Vaseline, but I swear the formula is just not the same.
DHC Lip Cream

Ugh, another lip balm I’m absolutely obsessed with. Well, I guess that is the point of this whole blog post. This is the DHC Lip Cream ($10.99CAD/$8.50USD) (full review here). I first picked it up in Singapore from Don Quijote (my favourite store in the whole world) but have since bought a second tube because it is just that good. There’s something about a stick lip balm that is just so nice and convenient. Most stick lip balms are not hydrating (like Nivea, Blistex, Carmex, even the stick version of Vaseline- they just don’t work for me), but this one is super moisturizing, thanks to olive oil, ginseng, and aloe vera essence. But I will say, because the formula is so soft, I go through the tube pretty quickly.

And so, as I’m sure you’ve started to notice, a good lip balm is truly a non-negotiable in my routine. I’ve tried more than my fair share over the years and these four are the lip balms I keep reaching for again and again in 2026. But, with that being said, I’ll definitely be adding more to my collection as the year goes on. If you have a favourite lip balm that I need to try, please let me know!! I’m always on the hunt for my next holy grail.
