I’m on a roll with these makeup review blog posts lately. There’s just so many good makeup products coming out, and I’ve been loving playing with all of them! Today’s post isn’t about just any makeup product, though. It’s an eyeshadow palette review. I can’t even remember the last time I tried out a new eyeshadow palette. According to my blog archives, the last time I reviewed one was April 23, 2021 when I tried out the Huda Beauty Sand Haze Obsessions Palette (blog post here). That was five and a half years ago. Five and a half years without a new eyeshadow palettes in my life. That’s just devastating.
Luckily, Morphe is here to save the day with their ChromaPlus 6-Pan Eyeshadow Palette ($23CAD/$16USD). It should come as no surprise that I love Morphe and their eyeshadow palettes. Ever since the days of the Morphe x Jaclyn Hill eyeshadow palettes, I’ve been a big, big fan.
Morphe’s new ChromaPlus 6-Pan Eyeshadow Palettes come in six different colourways, and they’re such a fun addition to the lineup. I got to try the shade Tailored Nudes, and dare I say, it’s the perfect everyday eyeshadow palette. Tailored Nudes is definitely a warm-toned palette. And while I usually lean towards cooler taupes and mauves for my eyeshadow looks as of late, the warm-toned browns in this palette are definitely perfect for Fall and just exude those cozy, warm vibes. You know me. I love Fall. I will never turn away anything even remotely fall-themed, and this palette is right up my alley.
The Morphe ChromaPlus 6-Pan Eyeshadow Palette in Tailored Nudes contains six all-matte shades, ranging from a light cream to a deep, almost-black brown. Here’s a closer look at each shade, from top left to bottom right:
- Unbuttoned: A light cream shade that’s perfect for applying all over the lid or highlighting the inner corner and brow bone.
- Flirty Linens: A mid-tone camel shade that works beautifully as a transition colour.
- Saddle Stitch: A deeper brown with reddish-orange undertones that’s perfect for adding definition to the crease.
- Layered Latte: A darker, more neutral brown with just a touch of warmth.
- Daring Drape: A rich chocolate brown for deepening the crease and adding dimension to an eye look.
- Minimal Mocha: A super deep brown that’s almost black, making it perfect for lining the eyes or adding a little extra depth.
See! I told you. It’s the perfect little palette.
I’m a big fan of five- or six-pan eyeshadow palettes because they usually contain everything you need for a complete eye look without taking up too much space or including shades you’ll never use. Sometimes, bigger palettes are fun, but there’s something to be said for a smaller, more curated selection of colours. With the Tailored Nudes palette, you have everything you need to create a range of neutral eye looks, from a simple wash of colour for everyday wear to a deeper, smokier look for the evening. It even comes with a mirror! Effortless, I’m tellin’ ya.
And if you’re wondering about the actual eyeshadow formula and pigmentation, rest assured that Morphe makes some of my favourite eyeshadows. These shades are super pigmented without feeling chalky or overly powdery, and they blend beautifully into one another. The range of browns also makes it easy to build up the intensity without having to reach for another palette.
I’ve just been loving the Morphe ChromaPlus 6-Pan Eyeshadow Palette in Tailored Nudes. It’s compact, practical, and packed with wearable matte shades that work together effortlessly. While I usually gravitate towards cooler eyeshadows these days, this warm-toned lineup has definitely won me over, especially for fall. After five and a half years without reviewing a new eyeshadow palette, I’d say this was a pretty good one to come back with.
