It’s truly amazing how much I gravitated towards shimmers and metallics and glitters in my makeup lately. Gone are my all-matte eyeshadow days. The new Taylor is here and she is here to stay, leaving behind a trail of glitter everywhere she goes.
So the newest addition to my glitter makeup are these Pur Cosmetics Quick Pro Glitters. These are extremely pigmented liquid glitter eyeshadows but what makes them cool is that they are a 3-in-1 formula. They can be used as a primer that lasts all day without creasing or fading, an eyeshadow base in which other shadows can be layered on top of or a glittery top coat. I definitely prefer to use these as the last option, layering them overtop of whichever eye look I am rocking that day. They do come with an attached plastic paddle applicator, but I find it completely useless. There is no way to get even coverage of the shadow while using it. Instead, I like to use the applicator to put some product on the back of my hand and then use a flat shader brush to apply it to my lids.
I got sent the Quick Pro Glitters in 3 different shades:Queenie, a light yellow gold, Namaslay, a metallic rose gold and Lust, my personal favorite, a deep burnt orange with gold glitter. All three shades are absolutely stunning and so pigmented. I absolutely love Queenie for patting in the center of my lids to highlight and make my eyes look bigger and Namaslay is perfect for going all across the whole lid. But Lust definitely steals the show because I smudge it under my lower lash-line (as you can see in the picture above) and it makes my green eyes POP. It’s gorgeous.
However, with that being said, there is one downside. Unlike the Stila Magnificent Metals Glitter And Glow Liquid Eyeshadows (that are extremely similar to these), the glitter does tend to flake off as these shadows dry. I find by the end of the day, I have a light dusting of sparkles on my cheekbones that have fallen down from my eyes. So they’re not super long lasting or smudge proof however they’re stunning so I’m willing to look past that!
