Mustard Yellow Friday is The New Black Friday

This post is the last one in my mustard trilogy. Yes, I love mustard yellow. Yes, I did two other mustard themed outfits (here and here). Yes, I’m still on the lookout for more mustard yellow pieces. Nothing has changed. Same old mustard yellow-lovin’ Taylor.

I bought this shirt on Black Friday from Zara (along with the mustard yellow purse I also bought from Topshop). Maybe that Black Friday should have been called Mustard Yellow Friday. Oh my God, that was a good joke. Y’all better be laughing.

But anyways, I’m really digging this top. In the winter and fall, I tend to resort to wearing all sweaters because I’m always so cold. However, that can get really boring really fast. So, I always like to look for long sleeved blouses and tops that I can still wear in the winter but gives me a little more excitement than an oversized chunky knit. However, I have to admit that my neck was real cold this day and I’m already missing my turtlenecks.

This top is super cute because not only is it mustard yellow (wow, Taylor, we get it), but I also love the style of it. It’s a wrap style that bunches at the front so it’s shorter and can be tucked into jeans or a skirt with a longer drape in the back. I can’t wait to pair this with a leather skirt and tights for the holidays. How cute does that sound?!

But it also works great with jeans. I wore it with these grey distressed jeans from Citizens of Humanity (the Rocket style) and wore my simple black booties from Sam Edelman. Overtop, I wore a leather jacket, but if I’m being completely honest, I was a lil’ cold in it. However, it’s been insanely warm here considering it’s December and should be -20°C and snowing non-stop. However, I believe it was like +7°C this day. I’m just as shocked as you are. Meanwhile, Texas has snow. The earth is getting weird, y’all.
