Sunday Riley Skincare Favorites:

UFO Face Oil & Tidal Brightening Water Cream

My skin has not been doing good lately. I thought i had passed puberty, but suddenly I’m breaking out again and I’m not happy about it. I don’t know if it’s hormones or stress or the fact that I’m eating absolute shit or all of the above. All I do know is that I need to get my ass in gear immediately and fix up my skin. I have been wanting to try out a couple more Sunday Riley products after finishing up the CEO Brightening serum (see review here) and loving it! Two products that I was especially interested in trying were the UFO Ultra Clarifying Face Oil and the Tidal Brightening Enzyme Water Cream. Both were featured in Samantha Ravndahl’s skincare favoritesYoutube video and I love her, so naturally I love these products.

The UFO Ultra Clarifying Face Oil is a super cool product. It’s not your typical acne fighter. It contains 1.5% salicylic acid, yet it’s formulated in an oil. This has been a godsend. Because it’s a dry oil, the salicylic acid isn’t nearly as drying to the skin. Usually any acne product makes my skin so dry and flakey so even though it’s helping to clear up any breakouts, my skin still looks crappy because it’s so dry and lacking the oils I need. But this oil solves all my problems. It’s super nourishing without making me breakout more and the salicylic acid fights any current blackheads and pimples and prevents any future ones! On top of that, the oil also decongests pores and smooths the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles!

The Tidal Brightening Enzyme Cream is exactly what I like in a cream, so naturally, we hit it off wonderfully. The Water Cream is like a cream-gel texture so it feels super lightweight on the skin. But even though it is extremely lightweight, it’s still so hydrating. It has two forms of hyaluronic acid plus tamarind extract so my skin is hydrated and plumped. The cream increases hydration by up to 68 percent in as little as 15 minutes for up to 24 hours of continuous moisture! At the same time, Papaya enzymes smooth and exfoliate while alpha-arbutin visibly brightens the appearance of hyper-pigmentation and dark spots. This is especially important for me because with my breakouts come the nasty little red marks that are a never ending battle to get rid of. So I love using a brightening cream as well as a serum to try to eliminate them.

So that’s my new and improved skincare routine! In a few weeks as (if) my skin gets better, I’ll do a full updated skincare routine to show you the other products I’ve been loving!
