I’ve talked about a lot of thing on ze blog in the past seven years but one thing I’ve never shared my thoughts on is a toothbrush. Well, it’s never too late to start. I never used to care too much about toothbrushes back in the day. The only criteria for if I bought one or not would be the colour. If it was pink or green, there was a 90% chance I would buy it. And who remembers those singing toothbrushes?! Tooth Tunes. That’s what they were called. Mine sang Kelly Clarkson’s Walk Away. I can no longer listen to that song without feeling the very strong urge to brush my teeth.
When I matured and finally retired my Tooth Tunes brush, I decided it was time for a lil’ upgrade and bought the Philips Sonicare Diamondclean Toothbrush. Now, a $249 (CAD) toothbrush is a little outrageous. I will be the first to admit it. But I’ve always thought that oral hygiene is one of the most important things and sadly, it’s something I always seem to neglect at times. I thought that buying a super fancy and expensive toothbrush would help me take brushing my teeth a little more seriously. And I was right. Ever since I bought that toothbrush, I’ve brushed my teeth for the recommended two minutes two (or even three) times a day. Go Taylor!
However, I totally realize that $250 is not in everyone’s budget for a toothbrush (I don’t even think it was in mine), so I’m super excited to provide y’all with a more reasonable alternative! This is the Smile Brilliant cariPRO™ Ultrasonic Toothbrush and I have to admit it’s an exact dupe for my fancy smancy Philips toothbrush but with one huge difference. The price tag. This toothbrush is more than HALF the price at $119. That makes it a winner in my books.

So what makes this toothbrush so special? First of all, it has 40,000 vibrations per minute. That’s 667 vibrations a SECOND. That’s more than my little brain can comprehend. Just know that you’re getting the deepest clean to remove all that plaque and stains. It also has an auto-interval 2-minute smart timer so you know exactly how much to brush each side of your mouth. It beeps every 30 seconds to switch to the four quadrants of your mouth. I especially love that this toothbrush has five different brush modes – clean (optimal cleaning), white (high speed polishing), massage (gentle stimulation), gum care (Timed pulse gum line health) and sensitive depending on what you want to focus on that day. My favorite is the sensitive mode because it’s ideal for sensitive teeth (duh) but it’s so nice having all the different modes to pick from!
And can we talk about the aesthetic of this toothbrush?! It’s a beautiful graphite gray colour with a soft-touch grip so you won’t be dropping this on your foot anytime. Plus it’s waterproof so you can use it in the shower. Brushing your teeth in the shower? Now that is multitasking. And it wirelessly charges on a charging dock that also makes the perfect stand to keep your toothbrush on when you’re not using it! Once it’s been fully charged, it has a 30 day battery life!

I’ve been looking for a great electric toothbrush, but $200 is a bit too much for me. I think this will be my next purchase!

Oh how coincidental I was actually looking at a new electronic toothbrush and just read your post. You may have changed my mind from the one I was actually going to purchase ! The discount will help sway my decision as well 🙂

Electric toothbrushes are so worth it; but, it is nice to find one a little better of a price! I can’t say I’ve ever heard of a singing toothbrush before!

Wow, what a price difference from the Philips sonicare. I got one last year’s during Amazon Prime day, and what was a great deal it still was very expensive and so are the replacement brushes. I’ve been looking to get my hubby something similar but didn’t want to pay the price tag, I am going to look into this because it looks so great.
