So, if you’ve been following along on my instagram (@whenimolderblog & @taylorlainee), you might have figured out that I, like every other summer, have chopped out my hair yet again. And although I cut my hair to this short, shoulder length style quite a bit, I always find myself forgetting how to style it once I do. But luckily, Garnier Fructis has my back with some of these new styling products!
Let’s talk about the Fructis Pure Clean Dry Shampoo first. I am addicted to dry shampoo. I try to go as many days as possible without washing my hair (all of my friends can attest to this) so dry shampoo is absolutely necessary in my haircare routine. However, this one didn’t quite live up to my expectations. It’s a silicone-free formula with citrus extract that is supposed to immediately refresh hair. But I found I had to spray a ton (and I mean, A TON) of the product on my hair to absorb even the littlest of oils. This is more of a dry shampoo to use on only second-day hair to revive it. Any oilier and it’s not going to give you as much oil absorption as you might like. However, if you like a dry shampoo that doesn’t leave any white residue, this is the one for you! It sprays entirely clear so you don’t have to worry about any grey splotches on your hair.
Next is the Fructis Beach Chic Texturizing Spray. I normally avoid texturizing sprays because I often find they make my hair feel like straw while not really making my strands look any different. However, I was super impressed with this one. It worked so well with my new, shorter hair and gave it a nice amount of body and lift. I love to spray this in my hair when it’s damp and clean and then section it off and put it into two little buns. Once dry, I take my hair out of the buns and I have super natural, loose waves! This is a great way to style your hair overnight so you wake up with hair that is ready to go! (This will be perfect for back to school time!)
And lastly is the Fructis Frizz Guard Dry Conditioner. I have been wanting to try a dry conditioner for the longest time. My thought process was that since dry shampoos are my #1 best friend, dry conditioners ought to be at least #2, right? But what exactly do dry conditioners do? They basically smooth your hair and get rid of frizz. And if my hair is one thing, it’s frizzy. I spray this dry conditioner all through the lengths of my hair and it really does help to smooth it all and make it sleek and shiny. It’s the perfect finishing spray!
