I always start off a Paula’s Choice blog post in the same way: by announcing that Paula’s Choice is, and always will be, my favorite skincare brand. As hard as it to not play favorites in the beauty industry, I always get so excited whenever Paula’s Choice launches a new product because I know it’s going to inevitably find it’s way into my skincare routine. And that’s definitely the case with this one. The Hyaluronic Acid + Peptide Lip Booster ($29USD) is one of the few lip care products Paula’s Choice offers on their site (in addition to their Lipscreen ($10USD) and Lip Treatment Balm ($15USD), both of which I have reviews (here and here) of on my blog).
The Hyaluronic Acid + Peptide Lip Booster falls into a category that I often forget about and that is anti-aging lip treatments. I’m quite invested in my normal anti-aging moisturizers and eye creams but I often overlook any sort of anti-aging lip care. But that is all about to change with this Lip Booster from Paula’s Choice. This one is designed to smooth away fine lines and keep lips looking full (so we don’t need lip filler). It contains a blend of hyaluronic acid to moisturize, peptides to firm and squalane to hydrate. Not only is suppleness restored and moisture loss is prevented, but lips are also smoother and any dryness or flaking is improved.
In addition, konjac sponge spheres increase your lip volume by helping to absorb and hold any water. Soy and cocoa and shea butters also help to deliver antioxidant-rich hydration. And I should probably mention that one of my favorite things about this Lip Booster is the applicator. It’s a cooling metal tip that helps soothes the lips as you glide the product on. Plus, the Lip Booster gives a gorgeous glossy, dewy finish, making it the perfect product to use both during the daytime as well as bedtime.
