Armani Beauty Stronger With You Parfum

Does this count as my fiancé’s debut on ze blog? I mean, sure, it’s only his shoulder and hand in this post, but that’s still pretty exciting!! He’s not big into the whole beauty world like I am, but if there’s one thing he really does love, it’s colognes. He is building up quite the collection of them, and it almost rivals my own perfume collection. But hey, at least I get a good smelling fiancé out of it (how many times will I say fiancé in this post? I’m hoping at least ten more times.)!

So, this is the Emporio Armani Stronger With You Parfum ($185CAD/$130USD). My fiancé would describe it as woodsy and earthy with an oud and leather smell mixed with some light vanilla. Now, he’s no beauty blogger, but I would have to agree with his description. If you’re familiar with the original Armani Beauty Stronger With You colognes (EDT, Intensely and Absolutely) as well as the more feminine, Because It’s You (review here), this one follows the same overall vibe but with a slightly tweaked scent. And, because it’s a parfum, you will find it’s more concentrated and stronger. In addition, while parfums usually last a little longer on your skin than a typical eau de toilette fragrance, my fiancé has reported back that it does lack longevity and tends to fade throughout the day.

But, before we jump into specifics of what the Armani Stronger With You Parfum actually smells like, let’s first review it’s predecessors to see what the Stronger With You family is made up of. The original is the Stronger With You Eau de Toilette ($150CAD/$110USD). It’s a warmer and slightly sweeter scent made up of notes of Pink Pepper Accord, Sage Essence, and Candied Chestnut Accord. Next is the Stronger With You Intensely Eau de Parfum ($170CAD/$120USD) which definitely leans into it’s more woody side. It also contains Pink Pepper Essence like the EDT, but also has Lavender Essence and Vanilla Essence to deepen it’s Amber Wood base. And finally, we have the Stronger With You Absolutely Parfum ($170CAD/$120USD) that again has that more earthy and woody tone we smell in the Intensely version. It’s a deep blend of Rum Accords, Cedar Wood, and Vanilla, making it the warmest and spiciest scent of the three.

And now, that brings us to the newest fragrance in the line: the Armani Stronger With You Parfum ($185CAD/$130USD). As I mentioned earlier, this one brings a lot of intensity and strength to the table. It’s top notes are made up of a spicy pink pepper and a fresher, fruity mandarin. The heart of the fragrance then brings in lavender and sage that make the parfum warmer and more ambery in scent. But, I find the base of the fragrance is where this one truly shines. It combines the OG Stronger With You EDT’s signature sugar-coated chestnut accord which is now combined with vanilla bourbon along with a leather accord to intensify and deepen the fragrance. It has since become one of my fiancé’s favorite date night colognes and I definitely won’t complain about that!
