Aveeno Positively Radiant Maxglow

It’s been SO long since I’ve tried Aveeno skincare. I tried their body products not too long ago but it’s been a good number of years since I tried their face care. Six years to be exact (check out the review of the Fresh Essentials line here). But boy oh boy, Aveeno have stepped up their game in the last six years. I was sent their Positively Radiant Maxglow line to try out and I had such a hard time believing that Aveeno is an inexpensive drugstore brand (although these products do seem a little bit expensive for drugstore products) because I quickly fell in love with everything!

I think the coolest product in the line are the Aveeno Positively Radiant Maxglow Infusion Drops ($23.99USD/$31.99CAD). I find that drugstore brands often have a lack of cool, treatment products like this. They usually only produce the more basic cleansers, toners, moisturizers or serums. But these infusion drops are so much more fun than that! These drops are designed to give you a super radiant glow for a whole 48 hours while also evening out skin tone and texture. The kiwi complex locks in moisture so your skin looks hydrated and fresh all day long. There’s a couple of things I really love about these drops. First, the formula is super lightweight so it doesn’t feel overly greasy or oily on the skin. Second, it smells absolutely fantastic. It’s a mix of the classic Aveeno scent but a little more fresh with a hint of kiwi! It’s delightful. And lastly, I love that you can use these drops alone under your makeup or you can mix them in with a cream! I love mixing mine in with my moisturizing so I can get ready faster in the morning! I love combining steps.

I also got to try two masks from the Maxglow range. The Positively Radiant Maxglow No-Mess Sleep Mask ($23.99USD/$31.99CAD) is a super cool product, not because of the actual formula, but because of the packaging. Something that has always annoyed me about applying face masks is getting the product all over my fingers and then I feel like I am wasting product. But this packaging solves all those problems. It has a no-mess applicator that is this silicone paddle that dispenses the product for you so you can just swipe it directly on the face! Easy peasy. Lemon squeezy. The formula is super nice as well. The mask forms a layer on the skin to replenish and moisturize it throughout the night. When I washed this off in the morning, my skin felt so soft and smooth!

The last mask is the Maxglow Peel Off Mask ($13.29USD/$14.49CAD). This mask is designed to exfoliate and brighten the skin with AHAs, soy and kiwi. You apply an even layer to the skin and leave on for 15-20 minutes. When the mask becomes transparent, you know it’s time to peel off. Now, I do really love peel off masks. I find they help to suck all the bad stuff out of my pores. However, with that being said, peel off masks hurt SO MUCH. I always dread peeling off a mask. It sticks to my little baby hairs and my pimples (and my skin in general) and it just hurts like hell. My eyes water, my lip trembles and I always almost give up halfway. I think if I was to try this mask again, I would just put it on my nose area where my pores are most visible. I honestly don’t think I could handle peeling it off my full face again. I’m a wimp, what can I say?

I have the exact products and have not opened them up yet. Your post makes me want to rip them open and give the max glow a try ASAP.
