Why is it that this whole quarantine/social distancing thing just feels so normal now? I was such an extraverted, social person before this all went down and now I don’t even mind staying home all day. Don’t get me wrong, I am still enjoying going on walks and soaking up the sun but I definitely don’t feel as cooped up as I thought I would. It makes me wonder how I’m going to be when this pandemic is finally over. Will I leave my house as much? Before COVID-19 hit, a day rarely passed without me going out and doing something, anything. Will I just convert back to my old self? We will see.
This outfit today basically sums up my quarantine ‘fits. A hoodie, jeans and sneakers. Nothing more, nothing less. It’s simple, it’s comfy. What more could I need? I would have never showcased this outfit on ze blog before COVID-19. It’s nothing special after all. But in an attempt to keep it real for y’all, this is the outfit you’re getting today.
I got this hoodie around a year ago from my brother’s store, Foosh, a local street style boutique here in Edmonton. I don’t know what drew myself to it whether it was the colour or the super cropped fit. It was probably the colour. I love anything yellow or green. It’s almost too cropped as in if I lift up my arms anywhere above shoulder level, you are going to be flashed. So, to counteract that, I wore a slightly longer cropped tee underneath to keep myself feeling covered up.
For jeans, I am wearing my Citizens of Humanity Liya jeans that are baggy and worn-in for the optimal comfort level. And apart from my Adidas Sleek sneakers, my only other “accessory” are these sunglasses. I recently got my first pair of prescription lens sunglasses and boy, are they life changing! Now I can see and have my eyes shaded from the sun. Who would have thought!
