PÜR 4-in-1 Love Your Selfie Foundation

I have tried out every foundation that Pür has released in the past five or so years and while some of have been amazing (i.e the 4-in-1 pressed powder), others have been less than ideal (sorry, Bare It All Foundation) for my skin. So, when this package containing PÜR’s newest foundation, the 4-in-1 Love Your Selfie ($36USD), showed up on my doorstep, I wasn’t really sure what to expect. But one thing was for certain, I was super excited to put it to the test.

The 4-in-1 Love Your Selfie is a longwear foundation and concealer. Yes, you heard correctly. It’s both a foundation AND a concealer. Sound familiar to the 4-in-1 pressed powder? That’s because the powder is also a foundation and concealer. However, this foundation/concealer isn’t your normal full coverage foundation that can also double as a concealer. It’s so much more unique than that. It has both a pump for applying the foundation AND when you unscrew the cap, there is a doe foot applicator for applying the concealer directly on any blemishes. I also got to try the brush that was released with this foundation, the BHOLDER brush ($28USD). This brush is densely packed with soft, synthetic bristles but then also has a silicone interior that blend out foundation flawlessly while absorbing less product. I haven’t used a brush for my foundation in the longest time because I love using Beauty Blender sponges but holy!! This brush is GOOD. It blends out my makeup so easily without leaving any streaks or patchiness. It’s my new favorite beauty tool.

I was a little worried when I heard about the concept of this foundation. I don’t usually gravitate towards full coverage and I was scared this would be way too thick or cakey for my liking. But surprisingly, it felt super lightweight and blended out flawless on my skin. It didn’t look like I was wearing much makeup and yet, all of my blemishes (I have a lot at the moment) were covered. I haven’t felt this surprised by a foundation in a long time.

And, not only does this foundation make my skin look amazing, it also contains some skincare ingredients that are super good for my skin (and your skin). It has an Energy complex consisting of ginseng, green tea and vitamin B to boost the skin’s natural metabolism and rejuvenate the look of the skin. A ceretin complex also helps to smooth, firm and lift the skin while Lingonberry extract protects against high energy visible blue light (AKA any light pollution from your computer or phone). And Polysaccharide Film provides a protective, breathable film on the skin to help shield from any environmental stressors (AKA pollution). I really like how more and more skincare and makeup companies are starting to add ingredients in their products that protect against both air pollution and light pollution!

But the real beauty of this foundation is that it comes in 100 shades. Wait. What? What was that? 100? Yes, you heard correctly. There are 100 shades. That’s unheard of! Name another foundation that has 100 shades. I’ll wait. Yep, that’s what I thought. You can’t. And these 100 shades are spaced out all around the spectrum. It’s not like there’s 50 light shades and 1 or 2 dark shades. Nope, there’s a shade for EVERYONE. There’s 3 undertones – golden (G), pink (P) and neutral (N) with five different shade categories – light (L), medium(M), tan (T), dark (D), and deep (DP). There’s 20 shades in each category with 7 of those being Golden, 7 neutral and 6 pink. There’s some fun math for you. I received mine in the two light pink shades, LP1 and LP2. I often joke that I’m the palest ghost out there but it’s true. And the LP1 is light enough for me, hallelujah! If you’re even light than me, the LG1 might be a better fit for you!

Thank you PÜR for creating a foundation that literally ANYONE can wear. It’s about time companies started doing this and I hope to see many others following suit.

This sounds like a really nice foundation! And how great is it that it is also a concealer! I prefer a fuller coverage foundation so this sounds perfect for me!

Hi, thank you for your review! Can I ask if the shades on your swatches are LP1 on the top and LG1 one on the bottom, right? Could you tell the possible best match dupe to the LG1 in any other foundation? And the dupe to the LP1? I am matched to Nars SG Siberia and wondering what level of lg to choose. Thanks!

The bottom one is LP1 and the top one is actually LP2. I would say the closest dupe to LP1 is The Ordinary Serum Foundation in 1.0NS and the dupe to LP2 is Clinique Even Better Foundation in 0.5 Shell. If you’re Siberia in the Nars Sheer Glow, I would recommend LG1!
