I made one purchase during the Sephora Spring Savings sale and this was it. Actually, that’s a lie. I bought two things but the other item was just a restock of my beloved YSL NU Skin Tint (review here). Restocks just don’t count towards frivolous beauty purchases, okay? It’s probably no surprise that I absolutely love any kind of makeup or skincare set and, in particular, Sephora Favorites makeup sets. As someone who just has way too much skincare and makeup, I love buying a set that has a whole bunch of minis that I can test out and play with without feeling like I’m never going to end up using everything in my collection. I don’t want to be a hoarder. It’s just not my jam.

Now, not all Sephora Favorites sets are created equal, let me tell ya. Some are a horrible value and filled with tiny little products that you’d be lucky to get one use out of. This set is not one of those. This Sephora Favorites Clean Me Up Kit ($45CAD) comes with seven products, two of which are full size. And they’re all clean beauty products themed around giving an effortless no-makeup makeup look, perfect for the Summer.

Let’s start with the two full size products because those were mainly the whole reason I bought this set in the first place. First, is the Rose Inc Blush Divine Radiant Lip & Cheek Colour ($42CAD) in the shade Delphine. I love a good cream blush and I’ve always wanted to try out Rose Inc. Plus, this blush is basically the entire cost of the whole Clean Me Up kit so it was truly a no-brainer purchase. This blush is absolutely gorgeous. It’s a soft muted peach with the tiniest bit of shimmer and a radiant finish. It’s is super creamy without being sticky and effortlessly blends onto the cheeks. Plus, these blushes are refillable so now that I have the compact, I can buy just the refill pan when I run out for $18 cheaper! I told you, it’s a no-brainer!

The other full size product is the Tower 28 mascara. I’ve been wanting to get into more clean mascaras with healthier ingredients especially because I put them so close to my eyeballs (the Ilia Limitless Lash Lengthening Mascara ($37CAD) is another one of my favorite clean mascaras!). This Tower 28 Makewaves Mascara ($26CAD) is definitely more on the lengthening side of things, rather than volumizing. It has a triple-wave wand with three flexible, suspended bands that visibly lengthen and define every single lash! The formula is also water-resistant (sometimes not my favorite thing) so it stays on super long throughout the day without smudging. All in all, it is a good mascara but I always layer it with another mascara to get the volume and boldness I desire with my eyelashes.

One product that I wasn’t sure if I was going to like was the Phlur Missing Person Eau de Parfum ($125CAD). I love perfumes (I actually just did a blog post on my favorite scents for spring!), but they can be so dang personal so it was quite the risk getting this perfume in the set without having ever smelled it. But wow, this perfume is a cool one. It smells exactly like it’s name would suggest. It smells like a person. But not just any person, it smells like a nostalgic person from your childhood. It’s a scent you can’t quite put your finger on. It’s warm and sheer and just smells like skin, rather than a floral or sweet or spicy scent.

I’m not going to go super in depth with the rest of the products because, although I enjoy them, I’m not addicted to them and use them everyday like the above three products. The Lawless Forget The Filler Lip Plumper (mini size – $19CAD/1.7ml) is the quintessential plumping gloss. It’s shiny and glossy, but also gives immediate and long-term softening, hydrating, and visibly plumping benefits. Plus, the mini size makes it small enough to pop in any handbag, no matter the size. I also really love the Necessaire Body Lotion ($35CAD). It’s fragrance free, but incredibly moisturizing and contains both peptides and niacinamide to help strengthen and firm the skin barrier.

This set does contain one skincare product which is the Glow Recipe Plum Plump Hyaluronic Cream ($52CAD). I wasn’t too excited about this one as skincare samples/minis are a dime a dozen but it does have a really nice whipped gel texture that is packed with polyglutamic acid, hyaluronic acid, and plum extract for visibly plump, glowing skin. And the last product is probably the most disappointing, but only because it’s a tiny lipstick from a brand I don’t really care about. This is the GXVE by Gwen Stefani Anaheim Shine Clean High-Performance Satin Lipstick ($34CAD) in the shade Stomp Box. I don’t know why but nothing about Gwen Stefani’s brand excites me. I’m so sorry Gwen, but it’s true. This seems like just your standard rosy mauve lipstick with a satin finish. Nothing more, nothing less.

And although I’m not as excited about those last two products, this is still an amazing set! Like I said, the blush is basically the same price as the whole set and for that, I am more than happy to now have a blush, a mascara, a perfume, a body lotion, and a lip plumper that I absolutely love!
