Bridging the Gaps Outfit of the Day

I have been dying to take pictures on this bridge forever. It’s just a little walking bridge over the freeway, but I think it’s so cute! I’m wearing a couple of my favorite pieces today! To start with, I’m wearing this plaid multicolored longline blouse from Topshop. I first spotted this in Calgary and was instantly drawn to the colours. I loved the combination of purples, greys, and neutrals so, in typical Taylor fashion, I waited until it went on sale on Boxing Day and then promptly scooped it up.

Today I paired it with my leather pants from Zara. As much as I love these pants (and I really do), they are such a hassle to wear. They are so low rise and the leather is so thick that it feels like your walking through water when you wear them. I hope you understand my analogy, it was the closest thing I could think of. But I just love the details on these pants and the look of them, so I insist on wearing them still even though they’re the least comfy thing I own. Oh well.

Because these two pieces a little bit more attention-drawing, I kept the rest of my outfit simple. I’m wearing my favorite black duster overtop for a little bit of warmth and my pointy-toed boots from Old Navy. For accessories, I’m wearing a choker and a necklace from my boyfriend. I haven’t decided my thoughts about chokers yet. They make my face look rather fat, but they’re nice for tops with higher necklines or busy prints to not distract!
